Step-by-Step Guides for Each Course
1. Stipend Courses
All three courses - Judaism 101, Positive Psychology & Judaism and Israel Inside/Out - have a stipend option for college students.
Here is how it works:
- Register online for the course you want to take.
- You will receive a confirmation email that your application has been processed.
- The campus advisor will contact you within one week of your registeration date to conduct a short phone interview. The application will be considered “pending.”
- Upon acceptance to the program, you will receive a welcome letter via email along with your login information and a suggested progress plan for the six weeks that follow.
- Throughout the semester, the campus advisor will be available to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
- Upon completion of the course, students who meet the requirements for a $100 stipend will receive a check in the mail.
Stipend Requirements:
To qualify for a stipend students must:
- Be between the ages of 18 and 26;
- Be enrolled in a part-time/ full-time/ undergraduate/ graduate/ college program.
- Attain at least an 80 % grade in the course and attend two live events coordinated by their campus rabbi.* (Live events may include participation in a class or lecture, Shabbat dinner or other social events as decided upon by the rabbi on campus).
* Those colleges that do not have rabbis on campus or live events on campus must complete a live event equivalent (more information is available from the campus advisor).
2. College Credit Courses
Positive Psychology & Judaism and Israel Inside/Out are accredited by Touro College.
Here's how it works:
- Register online for the course you want to take.*
- Pay the course fee of $549 (3 credits from Touro College).
- You will then receive an acceptance letter with login information.
- The course will be given over a period of sixteen weeks. All course information is available on Touro’s online program blackboard.
- A Touro professor and a teacher’s assistant are available for all of your academic needs while you are enrolled in the course.
- Upon completion of the course, students will receive a transcript from Touro College.
* Check with your college registrar prior to registration to ensure a smooth transfer of credits. A printer friendly form for this purpose is available on each course website. Should you have any questions about this process, please contact the campus advisor.
3. Continuing Education Students
- Register online and purchase your desired course.
- You will receive a confirmation email with login information.
- Classes may be taken at your leisure for up to 8 months.
- Online access may be extended beyond eight months for an additional fee.

Length of Courses
Stipend Course
Students must complete classes within six weeks of the start date. Stipend courses require ten hours. This includes the multimedia components, readings, multiple choice tests and two live events.
College Credit Course
Students must complete classes within sixteen weeks of the start date. College courses requires approximately 40 hours. This includes the multimedia components, readings, multiple choice tests, as well as a midterm and a final.
Continuing Education Courses
Students have up to 8 months to complete the classes.
